The role

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Squish for GUI-based and non-GUI applications (cross-platform).
• Collaborate with the development team to understand the application requirements and identify automation opportunities.
• Design and implement test frameworks to support automated testing, ensuring scalability and reusability.
• Integrate automated tests with the Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline to enable automated regression testing.
• Execute and monitor automated tests, identify issues, and document defects in the bug-tracking system.
• Always seeking innovative solutions for improving testing processes and tools. Challenging yourself and the team to become more efficient and agile in delivering automated tests.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain and improve automated test scripts as the application evolves and new features are introduced.
• Report testing progress, results, and defects to project stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Take ownership of all aspects of test automation and be ready to step in and solve problems beyond the scope of your role, ensuring that we meet deadlines and deliver the best solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation testing and Squish tool.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.

Skills / Experience

• Proven expertise as an Automation Tester with extensive hands-on experience utilising Squish.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Perl, or Ruby for test automation scripting.
• Strong experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts for desktop and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Continuous Integration (CI).
• Experience with test case management tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr Scale).
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience of working within either a start-up or agency environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with other test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience in testing web services (RESTful APIs) and performance testing.
• Working knowledge of network compliance standards such as CMMC, PCI-DSS, NIST 800-171/53, STIGs.
